what have I miss configured in mamewah.
« on: April 27, 2006, 09:26:13 pm »
Ok guys, I have mamewah on a cab and 1 issue is that the avi files play to big for the little window they are displyed in.. missing the lower half.

numba to issue is when I try to reassing a key for the emulator.. By default 1 is used to launch a game.. I want to change it to C.. if I edit the cfg to use the c key it does not respond.. If I edit it back to "DIK_1" it works fine again....

*edit*
numba 3. I have set up a custom layout and if I open the layout in the layout creator it shows the font picked and the background image it is set to display but once mamewah is started it only displays the context boxes in the spots where I put them in the layout designer..

I have the layout names layout.lay the bkgnd img is called main.jpeg and the the folder that they are in is called classic 640x480 cause the name I had it called 1st off would not load up with mamewah so I used the one it uses as a default to kinda "force" it.

Any thoughts ? its busting me up and keeping me from my "finish" line..

thx

Okay I think I can help you with this one because I had a similar problem myself this week, make sure it is "DIK_C" not "DIK_c", hopefully this will work.

What movies?  Intro, exit, previews, screensaver?  If screensaver ensure you edit the layout accordingly so the box fits on the screen.

Check what retroborg said...and also see if anything else is assigned to C - this could cause problems.

Try main.jpg.  Also see my response in the other thread you mentioned this in.

i think he (and definitely me) are talking about the preview AVI's....

the top half of the AVI only is visible, but the whole of the screenshot is displayed..

Are you guys using an ArcadeVGA per chance?  Just sounds like it could be an issue like when using one of these with hardware acceleration enabled...
