Mario Bros. backlit marquee
« on: April 16, 2006, 03:42:37 pm »
I've been reading up on classicarcadegrafix backlit marquees, and it seems most people are not happy with them... as such, I would like to buy and original Mario Bros. marquee.  Must be in good condition.

Please let me know if you see anything online or have one yourself.  I have searched extensively and cannot find one that looks correct.  The .ai file on local arcade is a purple color that just doesn't look very good.  I would like the one with the blue background, I don't care if it has the "2 player feature!' bubble on it or not.

Thanks for looking!

I bought a Smash TV marquee from Arcadeoverlays and am very pleased with it. They have a Mario Bros here:
http://www.arcadeoverlays.com/storefrontprofiles/DeluxeSFItemDetail.aspx?sid=1&sfid=17232&c=0&i=11641139

PM me your email address and I will send you a picture of the Smash marquee if you want to see their work.

Is it me, or do most of the marquees for mario bros look more purple-ish than blue-ish?  Might it come out looking more blue afterwards because of how it was scanned?

Examples:
blueish
purple1 and purple2
Reality is overrated.

I seem to remember it being more blue than purple.

What about Kinkos? How does their backlit vinyl compare to arcadeoverlays or mamemarquees?
