Confused...???

OK I just got all messed up. I was browsing the misc. forums, and went to the top to select where I wanted to go, and it was gone.  They all moved.  Boy talk about messing with my head.

yeah, i liked the three columns of forums....what's with four?  it even looks crappier.  this should really be in the board discussion forum though.

Well, I can either not list all the forums at the top, split them into 4 columns instead of the old 3 columns, or I can leave them at 3 columns but then the header gets longer and longer.  Preferneces?

It adds one row to go back to three columns.  I like having them all listed, but don't care how they are arranged.

I don't mind the four columns, I just don't like the asymmetry of the first column having 5 forums listed while the other three only have 4 forums listed... and they're actually three, then a blank, then the fourth.

My suggestion, in the original Board Discussion thread was to do something like this.

At least that way the "support" forums are all separated from the rest of the forums instead of the odd columning that currently exists.

I still like the idea of just having one link to "Support Forums".  But I suppose that would keep "Project Arcade" off of the main list.  Unless you can talk the admin into giving it special treatement.

Problem is that right now the main category headings aren't linkable. I'd have to go poke around in the code and that makes SirWoogie break out in a nervous sweat (as he has to fix whatever I break)

Could you do it by making a new board called "Support Forums" and then making the actual support forums child boards?  You could lock the actual "Support Forums" board so no posts end up in there.

Or maybe that causes Woogie even more headaches, I dunno.

I think it looks OK the way it is now.  You have  4 colums, and the other misc stuff at the bottom.  All together, but separate.

My ears were burning. I think we just have to put some headers in the quick selection box and we'll be good. I'll take a look at that later and see what you guys think.
