Marquee Feedback
« on: February 09, 2003, 10:57:02 am »
After reading the various artwork request posts that have appeared I have finally managed to put together a marquee for my cab. Any feedback is welcome. I have based this marquee on one I found on cps2shock. The marquee image is obviously much larger and contains multiple layers. Any comments.

Looks very commercial, well done!
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.

I was going for a commercial look rather than just a character montage or a mame logo. My cab runs much more than just mame, so i didnt want to get too fixated on that in the artwork. I cant help but think somethings missing.

Very clean.  I think it's fair to say that as a whole this community is evolving from a quality stand point.  There are some real works of art out there.

The characters are from MVSC2. Someone posted a link to them a week or so ago on this board. I think it was "Last call for Artwork" or something like that. There is a lot of good artwork resources out there. Especially arcadeflyers.com

After printing a test version of my marquee (see above) I decided that it didnt quite have the feel I was looking for in my cabinet so I have begun a new one. The original marquee is avaliable if anyone wants it (minus the logo) just let me know. Heres a sample of my new one. Any feedback will be gratefully recieved  :)
