MAME32 upgrade question. . .
« on: June 16, 2006, 11:01:36 am »
I currently run MAME32 v.82b. I just downloaded MAME32 v.105. Can I just take the v.105 MAME32.exe and copy it over the v.82b MAME32.exe and assume that I've upgraded  ??? This seems like it should work, but i wanted confirmation. Thanks!
MAME me!

It should work, but there are so many things that have changed that you better wipe out the folder first (except roms and such). You'd have to delete all the contents of the folders cfg, hi and nvram, and I'm thinking that a lof of the content of the inis will not work anyway. For such a big jump, I'd just start from scratch.
