Machine Prices
« on: January 12, 2006, 05:36:17 pm »
there are Sites (books) for old cars, baseball/football cards, toys, even console game cartridge prices. is there one for arcade machines? I know there are a ton of things that would be needed to take into consideration, version, dedicated cab, original joysticks/buttons or replacements, etc.. but is there some guide out there?

For those of us who collect or just love old Arcade games it would be nice to read some form of guide, argue its correctness (for fun's sake), etc.. I would love to see an old machine rise in value, or (shudder) drop from lack of love.

I think it would be a blast to look at prices, (vendor auctions or collector prices) and start some type of guide (very general guide) and see it mushroom out into something that could be used. I know it would take an incredible amount of work, and again I know many people have different ideas on worth.

Maybe there is something like this already? anybody point me to it? I would love to look it up and cringe at the games I sold, and dream about the ones I want , but cant afford.
