I like the picture quality on my Betson CGA, but can't speak for the Multisync.  Although, there have been lots of posts here that have feedback on the two...

27" DIGITAL MULTI SYNC RAW THRL
http://www.betson.com/products/IMP-44-4070-RT

That is what you want.. That is what I have..
Picture quality is very good.  My only complaint so far is sometimes the bottom left hand corner will be slightly discolored.  A degauss sometimes fixes the problem.  It is small and out of the way so most of the time while playing it does not bother me.

I've got the Betson RT and the color is really amazing.  I appreciate this monitor more and more each time I play on a different machine.  In fact, I just bought a second one for a dedicated Golden Tee cabinet.

It does have a little convergence issue at the very top in 15 Khz mode, but nothing that is not ignorable.  This monitor hooked up directly to a Golden Tee Fore PCB is amazing.

I think you can't go wrong for the price.  I've heard just as many gripes about the WG D9200.   Ask Betson if they will sell it to you for $425.  That's the price I've paid for two of these monitors.

I haven't been able to get a hold of anyone yet.  I'm hoping it's an easy fix.  I read that there is only a 30 day warranty.  Unfortunately I have had the monitor sitting new in the box for longer than that while waiting for my cab to come in.  Besides, what's the point of replacing a junk monitor with another piece of junk?

I just ordered a WG 9200.  Want to buy my betson???  search the forum, there are plenty of bad reviews-the only positive one was from retroblast, which is the reason I bought the betson.

I paid $399 for my betson also, but $150 shipping.  That's why I don't want to ship it back: $150 each way=$300 which is almost as much as I paid for the monitor, even if warranty covers the work.  Happ controls has the 9200 on sale for $479.  I think the Betson is $469.   I'm sorry to influence your decision, but I would want someone to tell me.  I wish that I had researched a bit more instead of following retroblast's review (which clearly favors the kortek).  I see also that Betson uses retroblast's review in promoting their product.  http://www.betson.com/parts/

It could be that I just got a lemon, and it could be that my WG9200 fails in the first week of use also.  From what I've read, there's no "perfect" solution and it's pretty much a crap shoot.

not officially...I have heard reports of "weird" behavior with 800x600 also.

I was going to use the WG but now I am leaning towards the Betson, what do you guys think?  I am looking for a 27 inch to go in my cocktail table I am building.

have you decided against the BillLabs/Wei-Ya?

http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=46420.0

officially supports up to 1024x768 (model BL27CB0P = $549 plus ~$100 shipping).

just curious...

I have had a WG9200, went out after four years but I am pretty sure that it was my fault.  It did not support 800x600 very well  but it worked beautifully with M.A.M.E.

After it went out I bought a Betson after reading the review on retroblast, I have had the same linearity problems stated in a few threads on this forum and it makes it almost unusable.  It also has some awful discoloration problems that I have been unable to fix with a degausser.

I have only had the Betson for six months and I now intend to buy the Billabs monitor, but if that was not available I would go back to the WG9200.

I have both and I would say the Betson is the better of the two on the Picture quality side of things. But there is not much between them other than 600x800 is supported on the Betson which is why I bought one for my last project.

Okay, but in my meager 20+ years experience buying electronic consumer goods, this is the first failure I've had.  Admittedly, I usually buy big brand name stuff like Sony, etc., so I guess I have a little trouble accepting as "normal" that my monitor should go out literally in hours.  Betson hasn't returned my emails.  The WG9200 should be here today.  I plan to swap the monitors out, then remove the Betson chassis and send it for repair.  I'll probably keep it as a backup for when the WG fails.
