Operator warehouse blowout! Southern New England Area
« on: December 29, 2005, 08:05:49 pm »
I NO LONGER DO WORK FOR THIS COMPANY.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT ME REGARDING ANY OF THESE GAMES.

My boss needs to clear out a lot of his old cabinets.  There are some dedicated classics, but (edit: boss wants big money, forget about them) most everything is conversions.

There are no *available* vector games or parts, just FYI.

There are a few Ms Pac-Man, couple Pac-Mania, Centipede, Millipede, Monaco GP (sit-down version) and lots and lots of conversions.

Here's a couple pictures.  99% of what you see in those pictures I had to move all myself in a span of about three days time.  So I have a good general idea of what we've got available.

Not only will complete games be available, parts and accessories will also be available - boards, buttons, joysticks, control panels.

This may take some time, as the boss has stated that I must do this all on *my* time.  Family obligations come first, this second.

Are you parting stuff out?  If so, I'd be interested in the volcano buttons off of that Asteroid.

What are we talking about in terms of cost?  For empty cabs as well as complete.

Also, any DOT spinners or SW yokes?  DIBS if there is!  :P

The three specific games I'm looking for right now are Warlords (cocktail) Danger Zone and Viper.  I'm assuming that none of these will be in the bunch but it can't hurt to ask right?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I'm not sure about the Pooyan, what picture and where?  And where did I say free labor?  ;)

I said NO vector stuff!  And where yes, some things will be parted, when possible fully working cabinets will be sold as-is.

Depends on what you're looking at.  A Hang-On cabinet will obviously be more than say...Superman in a Centipede conversion.

No specialty stuff.  There is a Roadblasters cab, and a control panel from one that was junked, but that's about it.

And none of the stuff you're looking for is here.  Sorry.

Pic #2, pale blue Stern cab, one or two over from the upright Sega racing game.

Ah, no.  I think that's a crappy Neo Geo conversion.  I don't think that one is available.  Pretty sure we're keeping our Neo Geo stuff.

I guess I didn't/still don't understand.

You said "There are no vector games".  There are, however, two Asteroids cabs in the picture.  All I could presume was that you meant that those cabs were gutted (as in, "there are no vector games inside of those asteroids cabs") but it still seemed possible that there were volcano buttons to be had.

Or maybe you're saying "even though there are Asteroids cabs in the picture, those aren't available because we're keeping them" ???

There you go.  That one.

Not *everything* in the pictures is available.   The vast majority is, but there is stuff that won't be.

Peale, if you happen to come across an Atari Foodfight analog joystick or any potentiometer controlled 270 degree steering wheel assembly please keep me in mind. If you do find that you have one or both of these items, please pm me with the amount that you want for it/them. I've been looking for a 270 wheel for 3 years now and all I ever come across is 360 wheels. :(

If you have an old spinner from a nonworking cab or anything I'll gladly pay for it, because I really do need a spinner.

Hey.. I'm VERY interested in the steering assembly (mainly the steering wheels) & boards of the various Virtua Racing machines you have in picture 1 & 2... Or if the price is right.. I'll take a complete twin unit or the standup off your hands...

Also let me know if you have a Super Sprint or Championship Sprint or any other racing games for sale.

Okay, okay...I'm being overwhelmed with requests.  I'll post in this thread what is available, and when.  There's a lot of stuff, not much in specialty controls, and a lot of complete games (or mostly complete games) will go.  That'll be first, the stuff that's in decent enough shape to go in one piece, the part-out stuff will come last.

Hmmm... 2 1/2 hour drive.. Not so bad...

Can't wait to see what's available. I hope you're making something off this, Peale - you did say you loaded this stuff on your time. That looks like a good amount of machines.

Hopefully, you have some of those dart board machines? Working even? Cheap?

I'm working on it.  Problem is it's stacked 4x20 or so, front to back front to back, with more equipment stacked around it.  I'll be working today to catalog what's there, and to see what's working.  Likely I'll just get the outer edges.

Ill take one of the virtua racing games if the price is right. Also Do you have any firetrap cabinets?
I don't know if you know this but I'm sort of a big deal. I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Not sure if the Virtua Racing are for sale, I'll ask.

I live in southern new england.  Where is the warehouse located, I'd love to come over and check it out.

Not open for tours, sorry.  If you're looking for something specific, I can likely tell you if we have it available or not.

sorry about that. Im looking for a cabinet with the data east game "fire trap" in it. There were no dedicated cabs for this game only kits but im having trouble finding the artwork so I thought you might have a whole cab with this game in it to sell.
I don't know if you know this but I'm sort of a big deal. I own many leather bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

I don't want to be a bother but any chance you get, could you see if there are any spinners floating around? No rush.

Thanks.

about the virtua racing, Im interested in a standup unless you have one of the deluxe sitdowns (single seater, shaped like a indy car) I would definately take that.

Twin. (sit-down)  Working or Non-working

Sure they make some money, but usually the VR machines have 3D video board issues.  And so that's why you dont see that many out there anymore.

Bah - I keep forgetting about this.  Mostly due to the infrequency I see the boss.

I've sold a few machines now.  Keep plugging in and testing stuff to see what's what.

What Stewie said.  I've been sick (heck, my whole family has been sick) and I haven't even wanted to LOOK at anything arcadey.

I had originally started amassing a list with photos of what's available, but I sold a lot of that to a couple guys recently, so I need to start over.

As for the classics...guys, forget all about them.  The boss went from 'get rid of them' to 'they are made from platinum and gold and we will expect such money from them' so put them out of your heads.

I have a Virtua Racing steering assembly (in real good shape) on eBay now for 10$ + shipping.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8254206983&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&rd=1

I also have one that is mechanically sound but the foam on the wheel is torn up.

I removed them from a cabinet w/o monitors, so I have no first hand knowlege on how well they work. I was told that they work fine, however.

If it doesn't go, I'll put it up on the BST forum.

Peale- sorry for the hijack.

I don't have a definitive price list.  I've been making up the prices on the spot.  So far no one has complained (or even tried to haggle) so I must be doing something right.

Hey, I'm in west Connecticut! Unfortunateltly I probably don't have the bling bling for much more than a dusty old multiple-conversion cab, plus in my current house I'm barely gonna have enough space for my custom Mame cab as it is. :(

Thunderblade is an awesome game. I used to play it a lot.

Reeeally? That's encouraging, however I'd still have to figure out where the heck I'd store anything. ;D

Man, it's too bad we can't get into a new house sooner... I'm gonna be having a nice big basement to convert into my secret underground gaming lair, but I could really use that extra space now.

Mmm tirekickers.

He's not kidding when he says "show up with a truck and cash".  That's how it works with ops.  Show up with a truck and cash and you can get stuff cheap.  Do it another way and it is far more difficult.

I'm not specifically talking about Peale, I mean with ops in general.  That is not  a cliche when they say that.

Man, it's too bad we can't get into a new house sooner... I'm gonna be having a nice big basement to convert into my secret underground gaming lair, but I could really use that extra space now.

Well, the time to buy is *now*.  I have to move these games *again*, this time with a truck.  Some stuff will inevitably get junked this time.  I don't have the resources to save it all, so...

He's not kidding when he says "show up with a truck and cash".

No, I am not.  I will be at the shop this Saturday, possibly Sunday if there is interest.  PM me if you're interested.

I have been contacted by a company looking to buy *everything*.  Frankly, I would like to do that only as a last result.  The community at large has given me quite a bit, and I'd like to give back to it.

I didn't get a single person to come out today.  Kind of figured I wouldn't.

Still available for tomorrow, Mon-Wed and of course the weekend coming up.

Oh, the non-working Out Run?  It's working now.  Power Supply needed caps.

Maybe you think I wasn't serious about the Ms. Pac Man.

Well I am dead-serious.

1) What condition are they in ?
2) How much does your boss want ?
3) Would you be able to ship (or let it pick up by a shipper I arrange) ?

Ms. Pac Man's (or any other original classic cabs) are extremly rare here. If you can offer me a good price for the 4 of them, and they are in reasonable state, I think I can sell them here for a nice price, so much that I can keep 1 and not having to pay for it ;)

I have good contacts with some transport companies, so I can arrange pick-up at your place, only request would be good packing (putting it on a pallet, very carefully wrapping it with protective stuff)

Well...there are three.  One has no board.  One has severe graphics issues.  The last has no monitor chassis, so I can't tell what's going on.

Even in this condition, looking upwards of $1,000.  Each.

I woulda if I coulda. You are only 1:40 from me. No time or space. And real life is exterting its ownership over me. Maybe next year if this happens again. Probably not before.

I thought I had someone taking the VR Racer cabinets, but the person who was supposed to pick them up hasn't been able to.

I received a couple emails regarding them, but after replying to them stating that it was 'claimed' I must have deleted them.

If you're still interested in them, please contact me.

In addition, I still have lots of cabinets for projects.  Please buy some!

A great deal it was!  :)  If the air hockey tables weren't so big we probably would have left with a trailer load of cabs.

A huge thanks to Peale!  If you are within driving distance of Southern NH then I highly recommend stopping in.

Thanks again!  Give Mrs. Peale my apologies for making her husband work late.

Bumping this back up for the new meat!

The boss is thinking of Spring Cleaning.  That means lots of cabinets where they don't belong: broken up, in the dump.

I'd like to avoid as much of this as possible.

I personally have an Astron Belt cab.

http://www.dragons-lair-project.com/games/materials/cabinets/large/ab_01.jpg

No monitor or boards, but it does have the full side art.  Heck, the CP art is still there, albiet very faded and with extra couple holes.

It currently has a game board in it (not Astron Belt) but I forget what it is, some western-style game.

Wood is in mostly good condition.  There are a few spots here and there that are crumbly (it's made of particle board) but could be fine if treated properly.

Free!  Come get it.

Ah, the fire of destruction is burning now!

Cool Guy pulled an old Data East cab out from the back today.  30 seconds with a sledgehammer reduced a perfectly good cabinet into kibble.

Instead of destroying a perfectly good cab, why don't your boss put a crappy game board in a crappy cab, then donate it to a boys/girls house or some other charity and collect the nice tax deduction.

:hissy: There has got to be some way to save these cabs from the landfill.  Not everyone lives close enough to come and pick them up.  There has got to be some way of setting up an equitable sale price with shipping at least in the states.  :hissy:

Getting some good response luckily.  People who have bought before have expressed interest in more pieces.

I don't have any immediate parts available.  Only whole cabinets.

Almost all conversions.  Some dedicated stuff, nothing hot-hot.

No pins available.

Cockpit?  Don't think so.  I think there are two uprights, but that's one of the boss' favorite games.  Of course, everything will go for the right amount of $$$

Peale,

I am looking for either the two parts I need for my coin door or a complete coin door (if cheap enough) the same as the one I have. The first pic is my coin door. The second is a closeup of the coin chute, and the third is what the coin chute should look like with the little coin slot cover in place. Would you happen to have 2 of those coin chute covers? Or a whole door like pic 1 reasonably priced? Thanks.

Arachnid dart game for sale? Looks like the Galaxy I, if you had Galaxy II that would be great.

I'm looking for a cocktail cabinet with control panels for two players.  I dont need the boards or anything.  But controls and/or a monitors would be nice (although not required).

Thanks!
Bill

Hey, thanks for the bump!

I will be at the shop this Saturday morning showing off some equipment.  If you're interested in anything,

THIS IS THE TIME.

In fact, this is so important, I'm going to make it REALLY stand out.

In addition, we're going to be breaking up more stuff.  Soon.  So if you've been holding out...don't anymore.

Took some pictures...well, what I could.  Stuff is fairly block-packed right now.  They didn't turn out too well.

There's a Bad Dudes that I saw today, along with another Data East cab next to it (don't know what's in it, if anything).

Bunch of 19" Neo Geo conversions.   IIRC a Double Dragon cab, a Stern cab, an Astron Belt cab.

Monaco GP S/D.  I think there's two of them.  S/D Turbo as well.

Other stuff (of course) I just need to find the time to inventory it.

Hey Peale,

Do you have any sitdown Pole Position cabs? (Non working preferred)

Also, any word on the Dart machines?

So are we talking free stuff here or is this a "give me $200 for an empty cab or I'll destroy it"?
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I'm sure we could find freebies.  If it's going to be knocked apart anyway, it might as well be given away.  I already posted one, an Astron Belt cab.  I really hate to toss that one (this one is my own) because the side art is so cool, but I have nothing else to do with it.

Dart machines: I asked him via email (and he didn't get back to me) so I called him earlier, and he says 'it depends on which one and the working condition, I'll talk to you in the morning when you're at the shop'.  So...no answer yet.

We saved 2 cut-corner Dynamo's from the scrap heap.  If you live anywhere in the area and you are looking for a cab you are missing out if you don't get in touch with Peale.

You'll note in this post: http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=47805.msg624717#msg624717

a list.  Note that some of those cabinets have been crossed off.

Why?

They've been freaking destroyed.

Pictures are forthcoming.

I was not wanting to do this, but I had no choice in the matter.

Also destroyed was two Capcom Bowl games (one a Dig-Dug and the other a Zoo Keeper).

There's a couple Nintendo cabs that I guarantee will end up on the scrap heap.

Tell me about it.

I wish I had been given a 'D-Date' I would have tossed stuff on eBay.  Better to have given it away for free than tossed.

There are STILL machines available.  For how long?  Can't say.  Sooner is better than later, though!

We have two, count them two Bad Dudes cabinets.  Someone come get them!

Busted up another Virtua Racer today as well as another Final Lap.

Had to use a saw to cut up the seats on Virtua.  Looked like someone murdered Santa.

I might have to console poor Wade. He has two fully restored Virtua Racer's in his gameroom.

Uhaul is not reliable for transactions like these.  They mislead you into thinking you have a truck reserved but then when you go to get it they have not reserved you a truck.  They have "queued you up" for a truck.  It's easier to get a trailer but he's not going to be pulling a trailer with a Civic.

Several cabinets were wheeled out today to be put on 'death row'.

Pictures were taken, but alas not with my camera.

They have *not* been destroyed yet.  But I don't believe we have long.

To add to the list:

Moon Patrol (empty) painted black with Neo Geo buttons.  I wish the original CP was not hacked up, but the company that had it before us removed the top and put a flat top on.

Bad Dudes dedicated.  We have two of them.

Alcon - in a Crystal Castles cab.

Cabal - Taito Classic cab

Come quickly, make an appointment for this weekend (preferably tomorrow).  Otherwise these beasties will *NOT* survive.

Tell me about it.  They're still here - for this second.

We did break up a Nintendo cab today, though.  Was a Mario Bros converted to Bottom of the Ninth.  We even had a Mario Bros boardset and stuff we could have sold with it to convert it back.

I believe the Monaco GP cabinets are spoken for.  So is the Alcon cabinet.

$200-500 would be my best guess for 2 or 3 cabs...

Hey, you said "rough"...  ;)
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Since were talking about shiping to CA, How much for one Cab?

I live just north of San Francisco...would love to get my hands on one of these...but so far away.

If I could ship for ~$75-$100 I might be able to work something...dependant on what Peal wants for the Street fighter II. (PM me)

Can you fit more than one Cab on a pallet? Hmmm...

No, you're talking about $300 minimum for shipping to CA.  Definitely not worth it for a SF2 conversion.

NAVL ships by weight, not amount of items, and I believe the shipping rate on cabs would be "up to 500lb" or something very close to that.  That's why you can ship two cabs for the same price as one many times but you would definitely pay a lot more to ship three.

Hello there!

I live in portugal, i have near 120 euros and i wished to have a cabinet. On the downside, i lack experience with everything arcade related and i really wanted to play as much games as possible.

Is there anything suitable for me? :P

Sorry to ask but, it's for a good cause...

Nope.  Also remember, looking to get rid of entire cabs here, not parts.

The Turbo lives! Fixed the steering wheel, and had to replace some bulbs, move the monitor over (shifted a bit, perhaps in transit)

Thanks Peale, definitely worth the trip...

I would just like to state - again for those who didn't read every page - not doing parts.  Just entire cabs.  I've received many requests for parts, both common and obscure.

Death to mumbles!

Hey, do you remember who it was that came in right after I left? I forgot to ask, I talked to him for a minute before he went inside. Was he cool guy, or the dastardly Mumbles?

Congrats on moving on, I'm sure it was a good decision...

Not to worry, things are inherently better.

And believe it or not, Mumbles wasn't the reason I left.  And that's all I'm saying on the matter.

We have two, count them two Bad Dudes cabinets.  Someone come get them!

Busted up another Virtua Racer today as well as another Final Lap.

Had to use a saw to cut up the seats on Virtua.  Looked like someone murdered Santa.

FYI to anyone who don't know, Bad dudes has a 25"monitor. I wish I lived up there...

I might have to console poor Wade. He has two fully restored Virtua Racer's in his gameroom.

Na, just as long as it wasn't MY VR Twins that got destroyed... ;)  Of course I might destroy them myself, some day.

Peale, did you pull the parts from the VR's?  A lot of the parts still have value, especially the monitor boards if they work and the CPU stacks.

Yes, the boards were pulled.  They're being 'gifted' to a repair outlet in exchange for some free parts/labor.
