Problem with search??
« on: January 20, 2006, 01:40:22 pm »
I noticed yesterday that any search involving a number immediately throws a "500 - Internal Server Error".

The problem still exists today.

For example I was searching for "Perfect 360" or for "49 way joystick" and the engine blew up.

All other searches work fine though.

I've put a workaround to disable automatic spell checking on the search form. I haven't exactly figured out the cause of the failure, but at least I know what is failing (eaccelerator opcode and PHP crash with aspell() engine if anybody was interested). Updates don't fix it; the SMF team isn't sure either. At least for now, things will work as expected.
