How the heck do I keep up here

Okay this forum is sucking me in with its suck power vortex. So now I am posting all over the damn place and I can't keep up with checking for replies to my posts. I don't have time to check every thread. Yes I know there's a little yellow folder icon for threads in which I've posted, and the "New" thing signifies -- imagine this -- new posts in that thread, but I still wish there was a link for "See all posts replying to posts you've made since last visit" -- there is actually another board I frequent (non-arcade) and it has such a link. Is there something like that here, am I missing it? The vortex has already sucked in my pants, I must go in to retrieve them

You're getting your terms mixed up.  That suckage you're experiencing is called "Stingray".  He's the one who sucks.

In order to keep up, you'll probably have to get an assistant.  That assistant will be able to either find your glasses for the "show new replies to your posts" link up on top, or point it out for you and perhaps even show you how to click it.  To keep up with the rest, download Firefox.  After it's installed, middle-click any "new" icons to be taken to the newest posts you haven't read.

You may have to head over to rampy's site, www.byopvr.com, to build a PVR to store all the threads you want to read.  Once you've got that set up, buy a PDA, hotsync your PDA to your PVR ASAP so you can RSVP PDQ.  When you've finally caught up, whatever Stingray says, DON'T eat whatever he gives you without making him try it first. 

You'll wake up a month later and wonder how you got so far behind again.  That, and what happened to your pants.  But I've said too much already

Wow....that's useful.  I'll have to keep that in mind.  The only icon I've ever known was the sticky, because it's so obvious what the thumbtack means (or maybe I just noticed that those never moved and put two and two together.  And I have like 3000 posts

another trick to keep up if your on dial up is to have 5 different windows going so while one reply is going through you can be loading another topic and reading another one....
