bootup menu

I desperately need to get my Centipede cab done.  It has been way too long.

Quick recap - Rotating monitor (manual), and two control panels (trackball, and joystick one).  Using Windows 98.

So this is what I'm thinking.  When the cab starts up, a full screen pic (see below) prompts the user to select the configuration of the monitor.

Then a second screen is displayed for the user to select the control panel being used (there will need to be a vertical and horizontal version of this image and the correct one would be displayed as a result of the first screen).

Then, based on the selection,  Kymaera will start up with the correct orientation and game lists (would I have 4 installs of Kymaera?)

I really don't know.  The building I can do no problem.  The computer stuff...  not so much.

Any thoughts?

Are you planning to run in a Windows environment?

If yes, one idea/approach would be using a browser window full screen displaying an image with an image map and then execute CGI.

Why not a single prompt:
1) Vertical with joysticks
2) Vertical with trackball
3) Horizontal with joysticks
4) Horizontal with trackball

You could have a small picture of each of the four options.

I guess I could...  and if it made it easier, then sure.  I just need to be able to do it, and I need it to work and be relatively self-explanitory when it runs.
