sound problems
« on: November 16, 2004, 06:35:47 pm »
Hello All,
Thanks to everyone who helped me with my first question and now for number two. I know using a seperate sound card improves the system and system speed but at the moment i am running command line mame via mamewah using a c-media cm8738 pci onboard sound chip and the sound is awful stuttering etc, i have tried all i know then i loaded up the latest drivers and bang it ran great nice smooth visuals and good sound so i thought all was well until i started my cab up again and guess what back to the awful sound problem its got me baffeled. i think i will replace it with a creative labs audigy LS card what do you guys think?, thanks, terry.
PS, the sound is fine in windows XP desktop but the system is not under any load.
