Deleting Roms...

Is there any application that will show me what roms I have and let me delete them as I look thru the list?   Basically something like mame32 where I can see the full name and when I get to a JPN game or something I dont want simply hit delete and the rom is deleted from the list?

I'm not sure if there's any utils, but one method could be to list the directory by "Date Accessed". You should be able to see which files have never been loaded.

This won't be 100% accurate though. I just did a test loading GNG (Ghosts n Goblins) and now it shows that 4 other completely unrelated rom ZIPs were also accessed.

NO MORE!!

EmuLoader can do this: www.mameworld.net/emuloader  (I think you might have to right-click and select delete, though.)

This feature should NEVER be on a cab.  You never know when some kid finds the option.

Also, I wouldn't want to delete a rom because its a non-english.  You might find that its either a parent rom for a US version (under another name maybe) or will be soon.

Hopefully you can ignore them in your frontend.  Mine you can ignore all but favorites over a set number.  I wanted to add this to each skin, but I never created the UI to do it (but the backend you could).  I could also do it by adding SQL to say I'm only interested if the favorite setting is better then others, but I can't remember if I ever tested this.

Anyway, I think this should be part of your frontend to hide it instead of kill it.  You never know when you need the rom again.
