Anyone know how to turn off the sound when windows boots up just before it finished?

Go to sounds in your control panel.

Find 'windows start'.

Change sound to 'none'.

I changed mine to scorpions "GET OVER HERE!"  heh...  and the shutdown is "Flawless Victory"
