True dat.
I was a Fine Arts double major, graduated with a BFA (Bachelors of Fine Arts - Graphic Design/Electronic Art)...and I can honestly say I would never use my experiences in college as a barometer for what the Fine & Performing Arts is all about. Certainly gave me a lot of respect for various forms of creativity, but most work in that environment is NOT indicative of the professional world, nor would I be so foolish as to act as judge, jury and executioner regarding "Art."
A world without art...what's the point exactly? No music, no dancing, no painting, no sculpture, no architecture, no automotive design, no television shows (writers, performers), no movies. Me'thinks DD takes a LOT of this stuff for granted.
