Probably an easy question. Mamewah/Roms Question
« on: October 05, 2005, 09:06:53 am »
I had to redo my mame pc and I have a question. I'm using mamewah as my frontend and my roms are sorted alphabetically in subdirectories in my mame rom directory. So basically I have c:\mame\roms\A c:\mame\roms\B just to keep things tidy. Is there a way to get mamewah to read the subdirectories, I know I'm missing something here. Little help? :) Thanks

Ok then :) I guess I'll just stick them all in one big directory. Thanks

Actually with the latest beta you *may* be able to get something to work...

I added a 'rom_folder_subfolders' list_generation_method, which should pick up your roms if used with 'rom_path c:\mame\roms'.  As long as you have MAME's mame.ini (rompath) setup to recognise multiple rom paths and have Mamewah's 'emulator_commandline' set to 'c:\mame\mame.exe [name]' (+ any flags you might want) then it should launch the games fine.
