Sound quality in DOSCab Jukebox
« on: January 03, 2003, 03:01:49 pm »
If you are using DOSCab Jukebox and the sound has lots of hiss or other noise, please try the following:

In the same directory as jukebox.exe, create a text file.  Rename that text file to allegro.cfg.  In that file, put the following:

[sound]
quality = 2

Try DOSCab Jukebox again; it should sound better.

Note that this does not affect WinCab Jukebox, only the DOS version.

Does this improve the sound quality for anyone?

Thanks!

Was this supposed to work only if you were having problems with hisses or static noise ?

I could not tell if there was any improvement, but it's kinda hard to tell when can't switch the setting back and forth when you're playing a song.
