Some roms work on Vantage, some dont!
« on: August 08, 2005, 04:13:17 pm »
Help..I have a very old slow machine running Vantage and ArcadeOS.  I have verified the romset for vantuage using ClrMame Pro, so I know the roms are good.  The problem is that some roms work fine (jr pacman for example), but others don't (dkong, pacman, galaga, etc).  The old roms USED to work, but now something has changed and I get VMM type errors.  I am running Win95.  Any help would be appriciated.  BTW it is running in an old converted set top box (NT-150 to be exact) and CF hard drive with no CD rom.  Thanks!

Version 112.  Let me also clarify some things I have found out.  I only get this error when running arcadeos/vantage in windows.  If I reboot into DOS mode (aint Win95 great!) and run it from the command line, it works fine.  However, I must run CWSDPMI first or neither will run.  This leads me to believe it is a memory type error.  Are there any programs like CWSDPMI for windows??  Or am I shooting in the dark here?
