Which Act Labs Gun is for me?
« on: December 16, 2002, 05:12:31 pm »
Hello, I am running Mame on an Arcade Monitor.  I run Windows 98 SE with a Trident T64 Card and JPAC but I am confused as to which Act Labs Gun to get.  (IE PC Version or the TV Version).  I will be upgrading my video card to Andy's Arcade Card soon.  WHich version should I get? Any ideas?

So far, Act-Labs has made a VGA (ie. computer monitor) Lightgun, and now they are probably gonna make a TV Lightgun.  I don't know a lot about Arcade Monitors but I know that they are different than both VGA Monitors and TVs.  So I don't think that either of these Lightguns will work for you.

But don't loose hope.  Act-Labs MAY perhaps oneday produce a Arcade Monitor Lightgun if the demand is enough.

Also, within the past week there has been some talk about the Lighguns and I know someone was talking a little about being able to maybe hack the TV Lightgun to make it work with a Arcade Monitor.  It sounded promising so only time will tell and keep your fingers crossed :)
