nationality icons

I think it would be good if in the section that identifies the posters name, post count and links to website etc....

if it indicated the location of the poster and had maybe had a little flag icon to indicate the nationality

just out of interest i would like to see where a poster is located

admittedly there would be mostly stars and stripes all over the forum but sure there are a few others that would be displayed - like us guys in UK, AUS,NZ  and even Chile (whatever flag they have)

That kind of seems like it supports seperation instead of bringing people together.

Not really, people being proud of there country seems ok to me, only if people treat them differently would it support seperation, those people have no place here if thats how you treat people anyway.

I also think it would be good to know where someone is, due to time zone changes.  I've expected replies from people before, not realizing they were in the UK, and therefore when it was 5:00pm here, it was 10:00PM there, and likely as not to be posting then.

But most of us are in the US.  In your senario what good are the stars and stripes to someone on the west coast?  I think city or state would mean more.

But isn't this stuff what the avatar is for anyway.  What I'd like to see is more people putting their city and state in their profile.  It would be even better if you had to pick from general regions and it could be searched.  But I guess that is what the people finder is for.

Yeah, having the city/state in the profile would be good, but have it show up under your avatar would be extra good.  That way you don't have to go into the profile to find out where they live.
