BYO Coin Pusher Game?

 This is something that i've been thinking about for awhile now.  I always used to love playing with coin pusher style games in arcades, and recently I saw a few in a casino i was in... Mechanically it seems pretty straight forward, and I would think you could make it as simple or complicated as you like... I remember one I played on a few years ago that dispensed redemption coins at an arcade, had a bunch of little bulldozers and dumptrucks that moved back and forth, pushing the coins from one shelf to the next.
 Anyone else maybe built one of these themselves? or been thinking about it?

The mechanics for one shouldn't be that difficult, but I need to finish my other projects before taking on a new one.

Take it up a notch and use MAGNETS too!
(A magnet under a surface will sort of attract and move metallic objects wihtout completely sticking to them--Would make for an interesting variation)

Yeah, i think i might start playing around with this in a few days.. I have a few automotive power widow motors that should work great for the pushers, since they're all ready geared down to a slow speed, and real easy to attach levers to. Plus they run of 12 volts dc, so supplying power would also be a no brainer.. I guess i'm gonna have to pin down a design next.  I really like the kind with a bunch of shelves, the kind you drop the coin onto a top shelf with a pointable coin chute.  Kinda neat when you cause a reaction to go over 3 or 4 levels.
I've been looking around online for some nice design ideas, but all i've been finding is places selling the newer style pushers, all of which seem to basically be just one big shelf with 1 pusher.  Kinda boring.

Ohh...I'd like to see plans for a BYO Coin Pusher.  And I'd definately agree with multiple levels -- although I haven't seen that myself in person, it seems like a very neat idea if implemented correctly.  It could lead to too large of payouts though....but it could be cool to have regardless!

I went to the coast to day and saw a pretty awesome one. It was kindof a puzzle bobble design with a mini monitor in it. Depending where you dropped thew coins it would fire the puzzle bobbles balls in differnt places and if you created the right combinations it either gave you some coins or spat them out on the sliding levels to help you to win some more. Now THAT would be a project if you could combine it with an arcase game.

[Fusion Disaster]

This project came up the other week when I was talking to a buddy of mine. Definately something I plan to build soon. I just have soo many dang projects as it is.

Could you use the internals from an old printer or scanner? Anyone know how much weight those could move? Maybe an old dot matrix one would work better? I figured this would be a good motor to use as you could easily write some code to control it's movements.

I'll likely start work on this in the fall. I'll post up details when I get working on it. Everyone else please post up your findings.
