has anyone rewired their monitor controls to the front of their cab?

i was wondering how hard it would be to make a control setup that i can hide behind my coin door so that i can control the contrast, v-hold, etc.
i was curious if anyone around here has tried to do it

I am sure that you could remove the pots and build a small control panel module to place a few feet away.

Very often, monitors come with wired remotes that let you adjust that stuff. It wouldn't be hard to string it up and mount it just behind the coin door. If the cable isn't long enough, lengthening it might be a royal pain in the butt.

Where are you located? How much do you want for it?

Most modern monitors are available to purchase with an optional "remote adjustment" board. To build one for an older monitor might work, but then again it might not work. You'd need a small circuit board to mount the trimpots on, but you'd also likely need some shielded wire going to some of those trimpots to prevent introducing noise or hum into the picture due to the monitor's original circuit design.

In my opinion, it would be more trouble than it's worth. Easier to just buy a new monitor that comes with a remote adjustment board.

well, the monitor is older but nice
i'm not sure how to tell who manufactures it but it's a zeneith tube

i'm in college station, tx (just an hour out of austin or an hour and a half from houston) (and i make frequent trips to dfw, houston and austin)
in all honesty i doubt anyone here will want it though
i'm in a bind for cash so i can't cut you guys a deal on this one, i saw some poor quality ones goin for 450 on ebay (it's weird, there's not many on there right now) and that's about what i want for this one
it's in pretty good shape (the sideart is even still decent) and like i said before, the monitor is in tip top shape so i don't think that's askin too much
if anyone happens to be interrested, i'd be willin to deliver it to anyone in houston, austin, waco, dfw or anywhere relatively close by
i wanted to wire up those monitor controls but since i'm moving in a month i would almost prefer to not have to move it (i've got 2 weeks of homelessness, so i'd have to move it twice)
if anyone is interrested then i'll post some pictures
i'd be willin to throw in an arcade vga for like 50 bucks more if it'll help sell the machine

What kind of machine is it? Can we get some pictures? Can you cut a discount if we pick it up ourselves?

If I hadn't spent so much money lately (and depending what it is) I'd be more interested. It just depends on a lot of things. My dad lives in College Station, though, so I go down there semi-frequently. Chances are if you're asking that much for it, though, I probably won't be able to buy it off of you.

Regardless of who buys it, though, pictures will help sell it.
