Australian 'Hankin' Cabinet - Need leg dimensions
« on: June 04, 2005, 09:58:00 pm »
Are the any Australians out there with an original LAI Hankin style cocktail cabinet?  I'm renovating one I bought a while back, but it doesnt have any legs :).  I'm looking for a few pictures and some dimensions of tubular steel legs from a similar cabinet so I can re-create them as closely to the originals as possible. Any help appriciated . . . .

Hello chablis97,

I'm sorry I don't have leg demensions for you. I wanted to ask you if you could post the demonsions for that Hankin cab you have. I have been wanting to build a cab based on the Hankin design, but to date, have not found one to get  measurments.

Any chance you could help?

Regards,

Mod.

Is this what you're talking about?

That web page supposedly belongs to a member of these boards.  Supposedly he's still active too...  Not quite sure how you can contact him but here's the thread where he talks about his cab.

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen
