Those using a j-pac w/ arcade monitor

When I had my videoamp and my arcade plugged up to my monitor the pictured looked extremely bright and faded. I had to go into display settings and change the color and brightness/contrast down and all over the place to get the right colors. Also when I tried to hook my dreamcast up to my monitor it faded to white. Once I finaly hacked a vga cable, and totally took out the video amp, I didnt have to mess with any of the colors settings on the PC display settings. Also the dreamcast didnt fade to white. The monitor didnt need it. I've treid this on a 19"inch Wells Gardner and a 25" inch K7000 series Wells Gardner. They both just didnt need the signal to be boosted. Some monitors, I've heard can look dim and would require a videoamp for correct picture results.
