kenzo42:
for those using a j-pac hooked up to an arcade monitor for MAME, was it too bright? via the amplifier boost?

btw, this will be used w/ an AVGA.

the dreamcast looks perfectly fine w/ no boost, via vga box.

othewise, i'd just get the i-pac. can the boost be turned off?

tia.

Vicious:
Well, I'm waiting on an ArcadeVGA as I'm typing this, but having used the J-PAC through a regular 9200SE the picture seemed to be fine and did not appear too bright or washed out.

I don't think it's gonna make your picture too bright as quite a few seem to use the J-PAC/ArcadeVGA combo with great results.  Definitely get the J-PAC instead.

SirPeale:
I use mine with an ATI Rage, and it looks fine.  Can't comment on the AVGA.

I have the Arcade Vga and a Wells Gardner D9200. I havent hooked them up yet but I was wondering if it's neccessary to have a J-Pac? My monitor has a VGA cord.

SirPeale:
The J-PAC's purpose is to directly connect to an existing JAMMA interface.
