2P games with simultaneous play

Is there a list anywhere of what games are simultaneous 2(or more) player? I'm at the point where I'm seriously debating going from a 2player setup to a single player control panel and like to find if theres anything I'd be terribly missing on

Obviously all the fighter games, MK, SF, etc. but I don't play many of those
I know some of the shooters can do 2 player, but not sure which.

KLOV.com has this info, but it's on each games page, and I'm unaware if they keep a master database. Going through even 100 games would be a major task, but over 3000 is unthinkable

Any suggestions, or links to the info is greatly appreciated

MAME's no help, I ran sortinfo, lots of two-player games, but doesn't break out simultaneous or not. . .

Golf Games are not simultaneous, neither is SI II, I don't think Shuuz is, not sure about Puzzle Bobble.

Funny that you asked this question today.  I asked this same question when we had the old board and had the info on my PC at work.  Today when I arrived at work, my PC hard drive had failed overnight.  They are currently re-imaging the PC now, but that information will be lost.  I'll see if I have this information at home and post more then.

Dude don't do just a single player cabinet.  Playing arcade games WITH your buddies is half the fun....

It's just under consideration.. Space may become an issue, with a trackball, spinner in the center and joy+4(or 6) buttons on each side, where Ive only got 22" across to play with

2 Sticks is a definite, so I  should be able to fit 4 buttons on the left(P1) side and 2 on the right(P2), opening up alot of the games above for real 1-on-1 play

The Man- if you find that, that'd be great, even if it's a few versions old, I'd be able to cross-ref it to the mame list and check it out

Aero Fighter Series...
.... Dammm... this list goes on and on....
I can say at least 30-40 different shooters around that can let 2 players play at the same time...

and then the horizontal scroll fighting games... like double dragon... final fight... punisher.... and also this list goes on too...

there has to be at least 100+ games total for 2 players together...

I guess the main concern for you to go 1 player or 2 player is this.....

Do you like to play by yourself most times ??....
or do you like to play against your friends most times ??....

although not a lot of times I'll have friends over, but I'm building a 2 player cab.... cos to me.... playing with computer is boring after a while... but playing, trash talking with a friend !!!.... great..... (well.... weather is cold and wood is sitting in basement now....)

well.... golf is not like together... but it is playing against each other... and is fun.... now... soccer.... cyberball....
football.... basketball.... baseball.....

btw.... did I mention things like metal slug series ??....
how about Guantlet ?? TMNT series ??

Errrrr..... I guess the above msgs has more than enough reason for a 2 player cab....

well..... everyone has their preference... if for me, if space is limited.... I would just go for 2 player, 6 buttons each + spinner.... but leave out the trackball.....
(of course... that is pure personal preference...)

cos spinner... you don't need as much space to play.... but trackball, I tend to roll... and slam my hand on it to spin it... so... if joysticks and buttons are close... not only I might mess up the game... by hitting things accidently, I might actually hurt myself... (no good...)

but spinner.... even if you spin it... it should require less space....

I think somewhere on the example pages... I've seen a guy has a 2 player cab... but then on the side.... he has add-ons for spinner and trackball.... maybe you can give that a thought..... (you know.... an extension board and a little plug.... and.... waaa laaa.... you now have a trackball for missle command... heee hee.... )

I only had 24 or so inches so I just made swappable panels.  There's no overcrowding that way.  It may not be for everyone, but I sure like it.

Too many to list and all are great fun.  Too bad you are restricted with space otherwise I'd recommend getting a 4 player panel going like me.  As SirP said Bomberman is great fun especially 4 players going at it.

well.... for my plan... although I'll only have 2 player panel... but I can plug in 2 extra joysticks.... so we can actually play 4 player games.... (not in the most comfortable way....) but should be bearable.... heee hee....

so... you can consider that way also....
