Left Ctrl/Right Ctrl problem

My I-Pac is set to the default, P1 button 1 = Left Ctrl.  The problem I have is when I want to change the button configuration for a game, I press the Left Ctrl button and it pops up "Left Ctrl Right Ctrl".  When I go to use that button in the game it does nothing.  Same problem with button 2 being "Left Alt Right Alt"   Is there an easy solution to this?

Can someone at least tell me how to reset the individual game controls to the defaults?  I thought deleting the nvram file for them would do it but it didn't.

Yeah, that happened once when I was playing with my friend. I had to push both left and right control for it to work. I don't remember what we did to fix it...sorry...

if you are talking about changing the button for each game through the config for this game then what i do is just keep re-entering that button til it clears out. for example if i want a button 1 that is assigned to lft ctrl to button 4 that is assigned ] then i just keep hitting ENTER and in putting ]. after about 8-10 times it clears out and leaves just ]. but before clearing it looks like ] and ] and ] and ] and lft ctrl.

also if you want to clear button settings just delete the .cfg for that game

Any ideas on why my tab button would've suddenly stopped pulling up my menus within games?

Yeah I had that problem.

I deleted the whole .cfg folder and that seems to sort it out.

There may be a better way if you have got lots of custom .cfgs and you dont want to get rid of them all, but like I said, that worked for me!

Seems like I had this problem if I tried to set the controls while a game was paused... try it when the game is not paused.

Pausing a game and remapping causes problems.  Have you tried setting up your own ctrlr file?  Take a look here and here for info on the ctrlr files.
