StarWars controller games
« on: November 14, 2002, 01:31:32 pm »
Well, playing all the new games from .62, I started noticing something.

A TON of games seem like they would work PERFECTLY with a starwars controller.

Then new 3d space game (forgot name... runs 10fps on my machine).  But there were a ton others.

SteelGunner would be fun.

then I started thinking about what games would be great with it....

Wouldn't T2 be great with them?  All of the gun on a joysticks games should be GREAT!

could someone with a hacked starwars yoke try a few and see if you can get the same feel for the controls?

Also, driving games.  (now the free spinning wheels, but the other type).

Anyway, I would love to hear comments on it... If a starwars controller allowed me to play more games better... then my wife HAS to agree that is a good purchase... cough...cough...

great idea!  (why didn't I think of that. ;) )

But darn it, now I'm going to need to build/buy me a SW yoke cp, in addition to that 2 trackball cp, the 2 360 steering wheel cp, and that 720 spinner cp. ;D

Howdy,

Some of the Atari games that used the yoke, or similar yoke are Hydra, Stun Runner, Roadblasters (although it doesn't work well in Mame, but in the PC Atari version I have), Empire, and Jedi.

I tried my T2 guns w/Steel Gunner, but it doesn't work well with it.
