Well according to the Wells-Gardner model number decoder available at the Wells-Gardner website here's what it is:

Wells-Gardner Malaysia plant
18" CRT
D9300 digital VGA
Single packed shipping box

case/frame style unknown as the "S12" portion doesn't decode and that's where the frame style would be in the model number. For more information telephone Wells-Gardner's main office in McCook, Illinois.

VGA and CGA are not compatible. 99% of all arcade games are CGA rsolution.

Be carefull kids this ones on ebay for $99  new -- and when asked about  arcade use  just  said " I don't know check with manufacturer" - I tried and Wells never has returned my call - thanks to Ken I don't have to looking at this on a big old 19" tube when right now I'm using my 19" panel monitor. thanks again.

The only things this particular monitor could be used with would be Merit Megatouch countertop games (later models with either the CD rom or hard drive) or slot video slot machines.

Ken,

I wanted to chime in here.  I agree that CGA is the way to go for MAME if you can afford it with an Arcade VGA; or if you are restoring an original cabinet.

For MAME however, it looks like the D9300 (18v) could be a nice for those who are determined to use a PC monitor (for Vector games maybe).  It supports up to 1600x1200 and since it is already decased, it would be easy to install in a 19" cab.  I picked one up at that price.  I'll send in a review with pics when I get it.
