PC Monitor
« on: March 07, 2005, 01:05:19 pm »
Sorry if this off the topic a bit but I've just noticed my PC monitor makes a sharp popping sound when I go into certain resolutions, like something short-circuiting. Most specifically 640 x 480 and 800 x 600 @ 75hz.

The sound is similar to popping bubble wrap.

Normally when I change resolutions I just hear clicking noises so I am sure this ain't normal.

Thanks

Edit: Does not happen in 800 x 600. Just 640 x 480 @ 60 and 75hz

Edit Edit: Oh, and the monitor's a 20" HP with a Sony tube (A4331D) and the DDC model number says HWP861B.
