exiting mame..
« on: November 01, 2002, 01:11:46 am »
this is kinda a CP and FE question..

I am thinking about adding another button (ESC) to my CP that exits out of the game and another one that is equivalent of the ENTER key.

The main question is I'm using the IPAC and I am not sure what is the best way to wire the ESC key an arcade button.

my main goal is to have the windows boot up and it load some kind of FE that I can toggle between MAME and Jukebox (all without using a real keyboard)

any suggestions are appreciated.

Player 1 start works as a shift key with ipac and it plus player 2 start is escape. And it with Joystick 1 left is enter.

I hooked up an "enter", "esc" and "p" key on my panel and hooked them up on the IPAC as 1sw7, 1sw8, 2sw7 respectively.  Now keep in mind this wont work for you if you plan on having more than 6 input buttons for each player.
