Vertiwah list problem
« on: January 24, 2005, 07:33:08 pm »
Hi there,

I've been searching the boards for a while for an answer to this problem, but so far I haven't had any luck.  Right now I'm trying to get Vertiwah working on my cocktail cabinet.  The application runs, but instead of my rom list, I get a generic list of games (apparently the list that comes with the Vertiwah install).  I have run the configuration utility, and it finds my rom files, and displays the list in the text box.  I click on 'Save List', and give it the path of the lists folder in my Vertiwah directory, but it doesn't appear to be generating (or overwriting) either the favorites.dat or the games.dat file.  I have tried different Mame versions, from old to the newest one, but I don't think that is the issue here.

I'm using Windows 2000 if that's an issue.

Any ideas?  Hopefully I didn't leave out any pertinent information..

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

I'm not sure I understood all that  ;D

I guess my problem is this--it's not clear that the configuration utility is making any files at all.. Or maybe it's putting them in a weird location with names I'm not sure of.

Could you tell me what mame version you are using with Vertiwah?  I'm thinking there may be an incompatibility between my mame version and vertiwah that could be solved by matching up versions..

Thanks,
