Possible PC/XBOX to Arcade Mame solution?
« on: October 16, 2002, 06:45:30 pm »
I was thinking of ways I could use my arcade monitor since it can only go 15 hz.  Why hasn't anyone made a jamma xbox?  The xbox can run SNES,NES,Mame, etc...  You can even configure mame and the other emulators to your liking.  There must be a catch somewhere.  Has anyone heard of anyone doing this?

Thanks for reminding me! I need to add that project!

Look on the main page in a few minutes or your answer.

I think he used a TV, but you can get 15kHz out of the X-Box, though you might have to transcode it from component video though (480p?). More info on http://www.gamesx.com.

You can adjust the xbox AV-pack jumpers to output RGB.  You can also use a transcoder.  These are both mentioned in the console FAQ I submitted to Saint over a month ago (but still isn't linked into the site yet).  :(

It seems I lost the link to the Xbox arcade, and the forum I found it on is offline. :(

Dave: Saint just got back from pulling major hours at his job, so it might be linked in the next few weeks. Manual editing sucks for updating.  :/
