Well, I wired my +5V directly to the light bulbs that came with my Happ's over/under coindoor, and needless to say but the bulbs burned out after only a week or so.

So, I've been told that I should get Super Bright LEDs to replace the bulbs.

Which exact LEDs should I buy?  (there seem to be LOTS of different kinds)  Can I hook them up directly to my +5V?

I think the 4 led cluster bulbs of the same color as your coin slot are best:
look at WLED-R4 Red LED bulb  for example here:

Do you think that they might be too bright or do you think they will work fine?

If you say they are fine (and will fit the coin door) I'll order them right now.

I tried the single and the 4 led.  I liked the 4 led better and do not think it is too bright.  If you don't mind spending a few extra bucks get both.
