I picked this cabinet up. Originally, it was going to be my vertical MAME cabinet, but it turned out to be a Pac Man cabinet, not the Revenge of Doh cabinet that I thought it was. I've pulled the Revenge of Doh stuff out of it, so it is just the cabinet.
After making the find I was going to restore it, but the cash it would require is taking too much away from my other project. It would require a new monitor, PCB, controls, control panels, artwork, and coin door, and wiring harness. It should be restored not MAME'd. It is in too good of shape to be anything but a PAC MAN. I am estimating that it would require about $600.00 in cash to restore - but a steal for someone that already had a monitor and PCB sitting around. I've seen restored cabinets go for more than $1500.00, but would estimate that this one restored would fetch about $1000.00-$1200.00.
It is in great shape, but not mint.
-- No PCB or controls. Control panels had a whole for a button cut and some other holes filled. (I'd replace them with repros)
-- No artwork.
-- No monitor, but all mounting hardware.
-- It is missing the coin door, but has the coin box and metal frame.
-- It has replacement glass, but not the original glass. The plexi has been replaced.
-- The bezel and monitor mounts are also present and in perfect condition.
-- The wood grain area of the cabinet does not even have a scratch, but the black corners have a couple of dings - these aren't noticeable from more than a foot away.
-- The wood base that seperates the cabinet from the ground is in bad shape, but is not visible unless the cabinet is turned upside down or on its side. (This would be the only change I make to the cabinet)
-- The power supply and transformer are present, but wiring harness had been thrashed in the conversion.
-- All speakers and panels are present and in good shape, but have a few minor imperfections.
-- The inside of the cabinet still has the PACMAN instructions, cabinet number, shipping information etc. stapled to the side of the cabinet.
I can deliver it to Washington, Idaho, Oregon for the cost of gas. I am about 3-4 hours from Seattle, Portland, Spokane, Boise. I won't ship it. Sorry, my digital camera broke so pictures aren't available at this time.
