I went with a tempest theme this time, and did complety away with the other one. Im not totally satisfied with the tempest level images but I dont know what else to do...Either way. I like this one alot better. Thanks everyone for the advice.

That looks pretty cool.  Wish I knew / had the time to make one. But...
To me it looked a bit strange having just the top of the TEMPTATION being in the middle section causing a different colour, I think (only my opinion) that it should either have more of the lighter colour or none at all - just looks slightly odd.
Have you tried to see what JESTER'S would look like in yellow?
One last little opinion is that the character on the right is quite good detailed while the two on lthe left are lacking somewhat - seems unbalanced.

But all the above is just my opinion and I think you've done a great job.

Cheers

Since you asked... :)

The word "Jester" dimming at the top... you will already have natural lighting problems with light dimming towards the edges of your marquee.  Adding to the natural lighting problem may cause Jester to be unreadable.

When I first opened the picture I could not identify what the red swirl is, out of focus, right in the middle.  Since it takes a good 70% of your marquee up, it might be a good idea to put it in focus and make is less pixelated.

It's possible the blue "tation" over a blue spotted background may be unreadable in a lit marquee situation.

Having the "Tempest" font and 'Temp' theme with fighter graphics kinda doesn't match.  Try Mortal Combat fonts for the graphics you have or use Tempest graphics with the current fonts.

Those are just my comments.  If you like it, then forget everything I said and go with what you like. :)

Thanks for the comments. After looking at it I really dont think
I like it much either. I just couldnt find any decent tempest art
work anywhere.. I was going to be more of a timeline type thing
when I started. I.e. Yie ar kong fu, through mortal kombat...

But after awhile I just threw in a few things and it ended up totaly
off. The temp is not a tempest font, couldnt find one.. I just took
the original and resized it, altered it..

Anyway, I think I'll redo it yet again. :) However I dont think I will
ever be satisfied.

My marquee is dirt simple:

Not nearly as good as madk's, but it goes with my CPO art nicely...

Well,
as for advice,I would say make it darker then you want because there will be a light behind and bright looky marque+light behind it=BAD result.

Mine came out okay but it needed to be very dark so it would look okay. Here is a new pic.

Hmmm, you know what would be really cool?  What if instead of having the word Temptation across the top and the Tempest levels across the bottom, you ditched the levels, made Temptation bigger, and made each letter in the word Temptation look like it is a level in Tempest?  That would take some work, but I think that would be really cool.

Just a suggestion.  I might try it just for fun one of these days.  It would be cool to have a whole font where each letter looks like a level of Tempest.

Maybe you could use the level editor for tempest and make the letters you want and take a screen shot of the game in play with each letter. I will try something when I get home later to show what I mean. I think I still have the level editor for Tempest......

That would be perfect.  I wasn't aware of the level editor for Tempest, but that would definitely make it a whole lot easier.

My system is kinda down right now so here is a link to the Tempest Board Editor if anyone wants to play with it.

http://home.attbi.com/~jkman999/Temped.zip

The only thing is, I don't know if it would show up well on a marquee. The lines are pretty thin. It might be worth a shot though. Good luck.
