best way to remove paint from cabinet to preserve sideart?
« on: October 02, 2002, 08:11:32 pm »
I have a tempest cabinet. someone painted gray over the sideart. Some of the paint has flaked off and you can see the sideart peeking through. how can I remove the paint without damaging the sideart?

Thanks.

I rescued a Defender and an NBA Jam.  I used Goof Off to remove the paint.  It takes a lot of rubbing...and you have to watch it or it will remove the original art too....

Here are Defender pics:

This just makes me ill... Painting over Tempest sideart should be a felony!

(No sideart was harmed in the making of my cabinet... it had already been stripped off by the time I got it.)
