for those with oscar vortex usb interface, help?

Checked my spinner when it came in and appeared to be working ok.  Later I came back in and  mounted it into my cp and it's not working anymore.  I look at the USB interface and there appears to be a pin missing on one of the plugs, but I'm not sure whether it was like that before or possibly broke off while I was installing my cp.

Can you guys look at the attached picture and tell me if this is what your USB interface plug looks like (the "broken" part is circled in red..I know it's blurry, but where that red circle is there appears to used to be a pin and now it's broken.  Is that a problem or is yours like that as well)?

Just trying to find out  if it's my usb interface that's messed up or if it's something else.  Thanks

The single pin there is supposed to be the ground pin for your optics.  Originally that would have been the ground for the second switch on a mouse but oscar has it set up just to ground the optic board on your spinner or trackball.
