Some monitors have syncing issues. I use to run across this with MameWAH when I would cycle through my layouts and some were 800x600 and some were 1024x768. That's what prompted me to make my layout set. I start with my Windows desktop. I use an nVidia graphics card at a resolution of 800 x 600 and 32bit color depth. I go into the nVidia driver and over ride the default refresh rates. I select EVERY resolution that the monitor supports (they are all listed) and set the refresh rate for 60Hz. I think ATI has this option also. I then only use layouts that are 800 x 600. I open the up in the layout designer and change their refresh rate to 60hz and color depth to 32bit. This is done under the Background menu. This way my monitor need to sync as little as possible. It made a HUGE difference for me. I can cycle through my layouts as fast as I can press the button and they all display perfect. You can check out my layout at http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer .

Good Luck,
John
