Introducing the FIRST and ONLY feature packed Keyboard Encoder to break the $20.00 price mark!!
We sell some higher-end stuff at GroovyGameGear that tends to be geared toward folks with means, but we also try to put our products within reach of those who aren't quite as fortunate.
One of the most important parts is the encoder that interfaces the controls to a computer. Unfortunately, if one's means are limited, it's time for the dismal and often unrewarding task of hacking a keyboard.
We've been down that road ourselves, and know all too well the disappointment of having spent 6-hours on the project, only to have a very limiting and mediocre performing result at the end.
So we set out to make an encoder with all of the advanced features of the KeyWiz encoders (32 programmable, non-ghosting, non-blocking inputs with shift capabilities, etc) but at a price that is nearly half that of other offerings on the market. It also needed to be a lot easier to work with than a gutted keyboard, meaning labeled connection points and a hole layout that can be used directly, or with an optional 40-pin IDE style header.
The KeyWiz Eco 2 is the result, and we got there by re-designing the Eco board to be no larger than necessary, and by ordering components in very high quantities just to get the price breaks. But that still didn't put the price where we wanted it to be, therefore the rest had to come right out of our pockets. So, consider this offering our holiday gift to the community.

Thanks for all the support in the past year and a half. The constant encouragement of our customers and others in the community are what keeps us moving forward, and it's deeply appreciated.
The KeyWiz Eco 2 is available now at the GroovyGameGear store, and comes with a 6' PS/2 cable. Watch for more new products from GGG very shortly.
