Deleting myself???

(1/4) > >>

Tiger-Heli:
I still can't post from my Win '98 machine,  If I delete myself from the Profiles and then re-register, what happens to my old posts, threads that I am subscribed to, PM's etc?

Is this likely to help?

Thanks

Dink:
Well, you will lose eveything if you delete your profile.  I don't think you need to do that.  The problem is on your Win98 machine not this forum.

To solve your problem, try deleting all you arcadecontrols.com cookies set by your browser on the Win98 machine.  It may be corrupted.  Empty your browser cache and history.  When you come back it should make you relog in and it will reset your cookie.

That's not the problem.  I don't really have any cookies on the machine (which seems odd).

Here's what happens in Netscape (which prompts for cookies).  I try to log in and the computer says it would like to set the two cookies mentioned in one of the threads below.  I click ok and I'm logged in.  I click anywhere else and the computer again says it would like to set the same cookies.  I click okay and I am "guest" again.  Any ideas?

If you were up for it...

could you try the same scenario again on yoru w98 machine... (after cleaning out your cookies etc)  sign in, get the netscape warning... go find the cookies for this site... copy the cookies over to another directory... try to post/click on something... hit ok for the next set of cookies grab those cookies and past them as different file name somewhere...*phew*

Then post both sets of cookies here (be sure to look that there isn't anything in plain text in the cookie that would be sensistive... i doubt it... usually passwords are at least crypt()ed

It's a start anyways... does this happen to other folks using yabbse ?

That's your problem right there... this board is not netscape compliant... use ie.  :)
