Looking for cheap or free cabinets in or around Phoenix, AZ
« on: October 19, 2004, 08:35:46 pm »
I am about to start on my first mame project, and I don't have the tools (yet) to build a cabinet from scratch.  I was wondering if anyone in or around the Phoenix area has an empty cabinet or one I could gut out for free or cheap?

I second that request. I am in Phoenix and have two projects going right now. Are there any trade-shows in this area? Any local place to get parts?

Hey all,

Aceldemor posted the following in the AZ Mamer post in the Main Forum:

"He's a local retailer that sells new/used arcade parts. I've bought my spinners, steering wheels, trackball, leafswitch buttons, ect.

Tell them Phil reffered you..  He also sells used cabs and whatnot. Good guy, pretty much the only new/used parts guy around here..give him a buzz. "

Can't vouch for him personally, but Phil seemed to get really good service.

I live in Peoria and went there a few months ago.  The only cabs he was willing to sell were the ones outside....  (water damage)  Any way, I decided that it would be better to build one from scratch....

I'm not saying they're not good guys, I'm just saying they weren't interested in selling me a cab that I wanted...
