WTB: Coin door parts
« on: September 29, 2004, 02:43:20 pm »
I'm refurbishing a coin door and am in need of a few parts for it.  The guts of it have a Coin Controls sticker on it.

I need one coin reject spring. (see picture below (top))

I need one coin reject front plastic (orangish), this is the thin piece of plastic that goes on top of the INSERT COIN label.  Note this isn't the kind with the integrated coin slot.  (see picture below (middle))

I need one coin reject lever (see picture below (bottom))

I found some of these at ksamusements but I haven't gotten any word back from them as to availability.  So if you have them, shoot me a pm and I'd be happy to buy them off of you.

Thanks!   :)

I've seen entire coin mechs for less than $10.  I'd replace the whole shebang instead of trying to find parts.

I guess I'm not sure what you mean.   :-[  When you say "coin mech",  do you mean the entire door with ALL parts?  My coin mechs themselves are fine.  These parts are more for the door.  I'd like to try and keep the door because it is in great shape.  Something tells me a $10 coin door might need stuff too?

Thanks!

Bring the spring to your local hardware store. They should have one that is close enough to work fine.

You may not need that spring; the action of the mech itself should be enough to push the button back out.

Yeah... the spring isn't a make or break item.  Just thought I'd go for completeness.

Let me know what you find, SKYHOPPER.... thanks!!  :)

In Minnesota (Prior Lake).  But I don't mind covering the freight.... it isn't something that has to ship right away.  I just need to know that one would be coming eventually... :)

I'm in canada, but I don't think it would cost much to ship.  I may even have the spring too.  The stuff is at my ex-girlfriend's mother's place and I'll be swinging by there early next week.  I'll keep you posted.

Send me a PM when you get a chance to remind me.  Thanks.
