Online digital photo printing services?
« on: August 19, 2004, 01:37:42 pm »
Greetings,

Has anyone tried using the online digital photo printing services for printing control panel overlays? The prints come on real photo paper.

The poster size (750x500mm) would set you back $29, which is a reasonable price in my book.

Check out my CP overlay for my xbox arcade...

Cheers,

Emanuel

I would not want this on photo paper. Photo paper ages poorly, is damaged by heat & cold easily, and is not protected from moisture.

I would strongly recommend a service that prints control panel overlays, rather than a run-of-the-mill printing service. Spend an extra 10 or 20, it will pay off in spades in the long run.

If you are planning on using lexan over the top, I guess it wouldn't be such a big deal, but if you are going to have the CPO art exposed, definitely go with stuff from a CPO printing services (mamemarquees.com springs to mind)
