Thanks for reading this.
I just built my very own MAME cabinet! (Pats self on back).  But, I'm having problems with the software.
My machine has a PIII 1Ghz, 256MB, Windows XP.  Good enough.
I've been using Mame32 .85u on it, and most of everything runs quickly and smoothly (even MK and SF series).  I just ordered an arcade monitor to throw in, but I would like to start using MAME and MameWAH to get that "arcade" feel.
I was testing it out last night.  After spending an hour trying to configure MameWAH, I finally got it to list my ROMS.  When playing Street Fighter 2: Championship edition, the game just crawls.  I tried copies of Mame  for Windows and MamePP (optimized for Pentium) off of
www.mame.net.
Why would Mame32 work much better than Mame?  I guess I haven't tried just Mame as a standalone without MameWAH, but I'll try that tonight.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to get Mame and MameWAH outperform Mame32?
Thanks
