Connect the main PC-Board to Hantarex US250 Power supply
« on: August 18, 2002, 06:24:17 pm »
First of all sorry for my message but I'm spanish and I speak a poor english.

I have an arcade machine with a J-Pac connected to my PC.
I have to connect the power supply of the arcade and the PC too (it's normal), but I want to connect the PC main board to the power supply of the arcade.

I have a monitor Hantarex MTC 9000 with a Hantarex US250 power supply.

I read the manual of the power supply and I see that the supply to the logic board of the pc game is similar to de supply of the PC main board.

Exactly the Hantarex power supply sends this voltages:

 +12V (2A)
 -12V (0.5A)
 +5V (10A or 15A)
 -5V (1A)

Somebody know if I can do this connection?

Thanx.

For a modern motherboard you'd also need 3.3V and the -12V doesn't have enough amperage if I remember the needs of a PC right. It'd be far easier to buy a regular PC power supply. If you want to have it turn on at the same time as the cab, wire the AC input of the PC supply to the power block.

Thank you.I tohught in this alternative if my idea wasn't possible, but I don't want to connect so much power supplies to the same power block.
