What are the best Daphne games?

I picked up DL 1 & 2 and Space Ace dvd-roms on ebay over the last two weeks. Total cost was about $12. Haven't had time to extract the files yet, though.
You want the dvd-roms, not the cd-roms or plain dvd (console) versions. Lots of cd-rom versions listed, but you need to be patient to find the dvd-roms.

I guess I'm the only Thayer's Quest fan. Man, I spent a lot of time and $$$ in front of that machine (either playing or watching someone else). I still remember the first time I played it completely through. I had a huge crowd gathered behind me. Ahh...... those days are gone forever.

I thought thayers quest was never finished in the arcade version, only on PC?

Thayer's quest was broken up into a trilogy, much like lord of the rings. Unfortunately, only the first chapter was released due to time constraints and lack of interest from the general public. There is a definate ending, but the pc versions (which are called something different, like journey) are longer.

Thayer's Quest told about 5 kingdoms, but the game only was written to do 3 of them. They planned to to a Thayer's Quest II, but the company crapped out. The game ends (it actually restarted without any fanfare) when you cross the bridge into the 4th Kingdom.
The game was rewritten for PC with Thayer becoming Lathan and all the voices and characters changed.

Shadoan - the sequel which completes the game
