Lazarus newbie needs help

Hi,
I downloaded Lazarus 2.0 and unziped and did the quick setup as I was told..I keep getting errors saying missing DLL files etc... what is this about? where can I get them? I thought this would be straight forward but its causing me headaches..I really want to try it,,....if u can help please suggest!

Ok well I have been trying getting errors saying the .ox thingy files that u see when you run the bat are not correctly registered or something?? wtf? I ran the bat as the quick start says..i am running 98.

Make sure you have the latest vb runtimes installed.  If your still getting registration errors then write them down and confirm that they are the one's included with the runme bat.  If they are there is only one thing you can try... Edit the runme.bat with notepad and change the "system32" parts to "system."  

If that doesn't work then your windows install is probably corrupted.   I hate to suggest that, but if it's saying a file isn't registered and it is then I'm not sure what else it could be.
