What video card for arcade monitor?
« on: August 06, 2002, 12:35:54 pm »
I've read through quite a few posts on different forums, but I'm still not too sure which video card is best for running mame + arcade monitor.

It seems like AdvanceMame is currently the most scalable version of mame for use with an arcade monitor, but which video card would give me the following features?

-Custom Resolution (ie.. 384x224 or 304x224)
-Interlaced mode @ custom resolutions (Arcade monitors are interlaced right?)
-Hopefully Windows support, but not required.

TIA

I started with a dual boot system that ran DOS/Win 98 so I was able to use ArcadeOS.  For that I was able to use an ATI Rage Pro card.  I am now wanting to convert my system to Windows only and as far as I know from various reading of posts the Matrox g400 and the Trident Blade cards are your best bets for the Windows system.
