WTB Custom Corner Brackets
« on: June 06, 2004, 08:57:43 pm »
I'm not sure if anyone out there is even capable of this, but I need some custom pieces fabricated for my ddr hardpad.

What I'm looking for is 32 - 2" corner brackets, simmilar to the stanley version seen here

The difference between those and the ones I need:
  • only have 2 holes
  • aren't stamped
  • stainless steel
That's about it... It shouldn't be too hard to fabricate, heck, you don't even have to bend them or drill the holes... I can do that!  :P

I am including a rough MSpaint version of what I would like, but I can get ahold of a CAD drawing which of course is more accurate.

I'm not too sure as to how much I'm willing to pay.  I will pay for you to purchase the stanley brackets for comparison, raw materials, and of course for your time.  I'm guessing stainless isn't too expensive for what I need and it wouldn't take very long at all.  I'm just going to throw out a number... $50?

If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

I would imagine it'll cost you a lot to get those custom fabricated (I'd guess about $150, but i could be wrong).

McMaster Carr have similar 2" ones, they're $1.10 each, but have too many holes and have 'dimples' also.

I'll ask someone at work to find out who fabs steel part around here...

You've probably seen these but wanting a different color (ie stainless steel as mentioned).  But can these be painted with something super durable?

Next I'll be on fries, and that's when the big money starts rolling in.

Actually Nannuu, I hadn't seen those.  Thanks a whole bunch!  I think that the yellowish color is camera related.  Do you have any idea as to how to order from them I can't seem to find anything about that on the page.

BTW, I did e-mail them asking about the color and ordering, so I'll keep y'all informed.

Oh, and JoyMonkey, I deffinitly would appreciate it if you asked around, just incase the ones on channelbeat.com are yellow or I can't get them for some reason.  Thanks in advance!
